Strengthening Maternal Neonatal Health Services in Partnership with the Local Government

Mandwi, in collaboration with One Heart Worldwide, has undertaken the initiative to implement the SMNHS Project in Rautahat, Nepal. The project, which commenced in June 2022 and is scheduled to continue until June 2026, aims to significantly enhance the maternal and newborn health conditions within the region. Through a strategic partnership with the local government, Mandwi and One Heart Worldwide are working tirelessly to address the pressing issues surrounding maternal and newborn health in Rautahat.

By leveraging the technical proficiency, the organization aims to introduce comprehensive healthcare programs and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of Rautahat. These programs encompass a wide range of interventions, including but not limited to prenatal care, safe delivery practices, postnatal support, and neonatal care. Additionally, the project places emphasis on raising awareness among local communities about the importance of maternal and newborn health, with a particular focus on preventive measures and early intervention. In close collaboration with the local government, Mandwi and One Heart Worldwide are able to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within Rautahat. The partnership ensures that the project aligns with local priorities and incorporates community engagement at its core. By working hand in hand with local authorities, the project aims to build sustainable healthcare systems that will continue to benefit the region even after the project’s completion.
