Safer Migration
- The overall goal of the project that migrants and their families are better protected by the concerned Nepali institutions and benefit from decent work conditions abroad.
Mandwi has been implementing “Migrant Resource Center and Associate Activities under the Safer Migration Project” (SaMi) with the financial assistance of Government of Nepal/Helvetas from June 2020-December 2022.

Through this project the following achievements made:
– 1569 youth migrants counselled by trained counsellors through migration or sub-migration resource centers
– 207 migration related cases registered at migration centers. Out of them, 62 cases resolved by the initiation of migration resource center. In this way, 62 people have access to justice
– Individual counseling service provided to 94 people; group counseling service received by 309 people
– 12 financial literacy classes conducted where 309 women participated. Out of them, 10 people started business, and 26 people have access to loan, 115 people started record keeping, 150 people improved saving, 8 people have insurance, and 42 people opened bank account
– 1072 people attended community orientations and 452 people attended deep orientation
